Work as an expert

Call for experts

Global Health EDCTP3 relies on external experts to ensure that only project proposals of the highest quality are selected for funding. Experts may also be involved in the monitoring of Global Health EDCTP3 projects and may also be invited to provide opinions and advice in other specific tasks.

Experts assist in:

‣ The evaluation of project proposals, prizes applications, tenders and calls for expression of interest;

‣ Monitoring of actions, grant agreements and public procurement contracts;

‣ Technical and scientific assessments.

Experts are independent of Global Health EDCTP3 in performing their evaluation and monitoring. They work in a personal capacity rather than as a representative of any organisation.

Expert profiles

Prospective experts should look at Global Health EDCTP3’s scope of activities, work programme and regulation and apply if they feel they could contribute in any way to the activities of the Joint Undertaking.

Experts are encouraged to apply if they have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

‣ Infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa within the scope of Global Health EDCTP3;

‣ Antimicrobial resistance;

‣ Climate and health;

‣ Ethical aspects related to clinical trials in sub-Saharan Africa;

‣ Scientific project management;

‣ EU grants budgetary requirements and lump-sum model.

Experts of African origin and female experts are particularly encouraged to apply.
