Angela is an obstetrician scientist and clinical researcher at the Aga Khan University’s Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health, East Africa and an Assistant professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She has over 15 years’ experience in clinical research in maternal and newborn health. She has experience establishing and managing pregnancy cohorts, maternal surveillance studies and other clinical research studies. She leads a research team with diverse capacities including community engagement, laboratory investigations, data management and clinical assessments.
Her research interests are: Pregnancy surveillance, antenatal ultrasound, maternal anaemia, infectious diseases in pregnancy and maternal immunization.
