For applicants considering including the EDCTP Association as project coordinator, an information session will take place on 25 February to explain the Association’s possible role in two calls for proposals under the Global Health EDCTP3 Work Programme 2026.
These calls, for Coordination & Support Actions (CSA) and based on lump sum funding, are:
- Training and innovation networks for sustained capacity building related to ethics, regulatory and pharmacovigilance, and related digital regulatory platforms.
- Enhancing integrated research and healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa through digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
The event will be held online via Zoom and will provide a comprehensive overview of the EDCTP Association, its mandate, and its role as a coordinator of Global Health EDCTP3 projects.
As coordinator, the Association can provide technical support for proposal preparation, facilitate communication between the consortium and Global Health EDCTP3, ensure prompt distribution of funds to beneficiaries, submit required reports, and oversee the effective coordination of funded networks in collaboration with the Scientific Project Leader.
The session will be presented by Dr Thomas Nyirenda, Strategic Partnerships and Capacity Development Manager and Head of the Africa Office of the EDCTP Association.
