Who can be a contributing partner?

Who is eligible to become a Contributing Partner (CP)?

Any public or private entity other than Global Health EDCTP3 members or organisations related to them.

The members of Global Health EDCTP3 and related organisations, which cannot become Contributing Partners, are European Union institutions and public entities from EDCTP Association member countries (public health authorities, public universities, etc).

Examples of eligible entities

  • Philanthropic organisations and charities that run their own research programmes.
  • Non-profit entities, such as product development partnerships (PDPs) and research and technology organisations (RTOs).
  • Biotech and pharmaceutical companies working in sectors related to Global Health EDCTP3.
  • Public entities, such as research funding agencies or universities, of countries that are not members of the EDCTP Association.
  • Governments of countries that are not members of the EDCTP Association.
  • International organisations.

What are the mandatory requirements to be approved as a Contributing Partner?

To formalise our partnership, a Contributing Partner has to:

  1. Submit the letter of endorsement (application) to the Global Health EDCTP3 Governing Board, detailing the scope of engagement, contribution type, and duration.
  2. Be formally approved as a Contributing Partner by the Global Health EDCTP3 Governing Board.
