Prof. Helder Mota Filipe holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1990), a PhD in Pharmacology (1996), and a specialization in Regulatory Affairs (2010). He is currently President of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society (Ordem dos Farmacêuticos) and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon. He is also a member of the National Council of Ethics for the Life Sciences, the Executive Committee of the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research, and the General Council of the University of Algarve. He is Principal Investigator at the Institute for Evidence-Based Health and a member of the Medicinal Products Evaluation Committee at INFARMED. He also serves as an expert for the European Medicines Agency (EMA). His previous positions include President of the National Council for Cooperation of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society (2016-2022), President of the Association of Pharmacists of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (2019-2022), and President (2015-2016), Vice-President (2005-2015), and Member of the Board of Directors (2016-2017) of INFARMED.
