Mette Ide Davidsen

Mette Ide Davidsen is the Director of Global Health Programmes at the Novo Nordisk Foundation, a world leading philanthropic organisation supporting international research collaboration in health, sustainability, and the strengthening of life science ecosystems. Since joining the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2016, she has led the development of global health programmes in India and East Africa and contributed to establishing the Foundation’s offices in Delhi and Nairobi. 

Over more than two decades, she has worked on the development of health systems and services, including roles within the World Bank and the United Nations, with professional experience in Vietnam and Indonesia. She previously served as a civil servant in the Danish Ministry of Health and within Denmark’s regional health authorities, and holds a Master of Science in Political Science and Government, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health.
