Global Health EDCTP3 has received 104 applications, involving 453 different partners from 68 countries. 55% of partners are based in Africa, and over 40% in Europe.

The 2025 Global Health EDCTP3 calls invited applicants to submit applications across seven different topics for the largest and most ambitious work programme since the creation of the Joint Undertaking in 2021.

The submitted applications are distributed per topic as follows:

Research and innovation actions (RIA)
 Coordination and support actions (CSA)

All figures are based on the information provided by applicants in submitted applications, before the eligibility and clerical errors checks.

Next steps

Evaluation of the submitted applications by independent experts in the respective fields is now ongoing. The outcomes of the second stage evaluation are expected to be communicated by January 2026. The signature of the grant agreements is expected to start soon thereafter.

Networking platform pilot connects 271 participants

271 participants used the Global Health EDCTP3 networking platform to pitch project proposals, explore co-funding opportunities and connect with potential partners. This year’s edition served as a pilot, and the data and feedback collected will inform improvements for the next launch, planned in December 2025.
