The session will bring together researchers, policymakers, funders and other global health stakeholders to explore how climate and infectious disease research can be translated into practical, equitable solutions for climate-vulnerable communities. Discussions will focus on climate-informed surveillance, predictive modelling, early warning systems, community-based adaptation and innovative approaches to vector control, as well as the financing and partnerships needed to move promising solutions from evidence to implementation and scale.
Panellists will also examine how to strengthen locally led research and innovation ecosystems and integrate climate considerations into infectious disease preparedness and response. The session aims to foster collaboration and identify opportunities to accelerate the development and uptake of climate-resilient health tools.
The session will take place in person in Berlin, Germany, and is open to all participants registered to attend the World Health Summit 2026.
